beauty bag essentials

A lady’s makeup collection is one of her most prized possessions – but even more important is the makeup bag carrying her absolute essentials. You know, those products you wouldn’t dare leave the house without because you never know when you might need to touch-up in a pinch?

Today I’m here to bring you my top 7 beauty bag essentials. My ride-or dies.

NARS Lip Gloss in Chelsea Girls: I bought this lip gloss awhile back when Jaclyn Hill talked about this in one of her monthly favorites videos – and when Jaclyn tells you to buy something, you run immediately to Sephora and buy it (ok, maybe that’s just me). This stuff is BOMB. It’s the perfect nudey-pinky-peachy gloss that has great color payoff, goes on super silky and makes me feel like a million bucks. I feel lost without this stuff near me at all times.

Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips: Ok, weird right? But this balm is an actual gift sent from god – it’s the ultimate multi-tasker. I use it on dry, cracked lips, under matte or liquid lipstick, on dry cuticles and dry patches, as a brow setter… the list goes on. You NEED this in your beauty bag.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Berry: This lipstick is my go-to bold lip – it’s my perfect shade of pinkey-red and the precise-tip applicator makes it so easy to swipe on. If ever I’m running to an important meeting or happy hour after work, this shade brightens my complexion and makes me feel put-together in a pinch.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Rollerball: This scent is my jam AND my jelly. Even though it has notes of sandalwood and violet, it’s very subtle and SO addicting. I love that Nirvana Black comes in rollerball form so I can keep it in my travel bag and roll it on whenever the mood strikes.

Yves Saint Laurent TOUCHE ECLAT Radiant Touch: This luminizing pen has been a life saver lately. I swipe a little under my eyes, around my nose and on my browbone to brighten my complexion and immediately erase any signs of fatigue. It’s literally a little magic wand that I can’t live without.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick: This foundation stick really isn’t my go-to for everyday use, but I love how compact and easy-to-use it is. I’ve found it super useful when I’m in a pinch and need to touch up my foundation or do a quick contour.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Show Curl Lash Curler: I like to have one of these bad boys on hand just in case my lashes need a little boost before I head to a dinner date or grab drinks after work. I usually throw in a travel-sized mascara too, just to be safe (currently loving TARTE Lights, Camera, Lashes).

Me being the makeup hoarder that I am, my beauty bag tends to hold a LOT more than just these 7 products – but these are my top, can’t-live-without, ride-or-die beauty essentials. Tell me about yours in the comments below!
